Pretty good food, but very high prices (expect at least $15/ea for appetizers). The skewed price-to-food ratio is easily made up for by the unparalleled views of San Francisco and the bay. After a lovely hike in Muir Woods, we stopped in for drinks and appetizers. We split 3 appetizers amongst the 3 of us: 3 crab cakes ($15.95), served with a very good chipotle tartar sauce, but were otherwise not too remarkable (especially at over $5 per cake!), beer batter onion rings ($7.95), which were pretty good, and fried calamari ($12.95), also served with the yummy chipotle sauce. Really the reason to go here is for the views, and for that reason alone, its a must-visit. For extra fun (and no DUI worries - they have a good bar!), take the ferry to Tiburon from the city - it docks right next door to Sam's.
