- Sadly, this is the tastiest breakfast joint I've found so far that's close to my place. Sad, because it's a tourist trap and has prices to match. The breakfast food is actually pretty good (I've heard horror stories about their dinners, however) and the views, should you get a window table, are excellent (thus continuing the adage that price goes up and quality goes down in proportion to the views). I had eggs, sausage, and potatoes ($9, ouch!) and a very good bloody mary ($8, also ouch!), while Sarah had eggs, bacon, and potatoes (also $9, arrrgh). The eggs were nicely-executed, and the potatoes were above-average, although my sausauge was unremarkable. Service was pretty speedy, but not at all friendly (typical of tourist joints). If you don't mind a $30 breakfast for two, it's a nice place to go, though. On another breakfast visit, the eggs benedict ($9) proved quite tasty too, served atop yummy Acme bread. A good place to take out-of-town relatives for breakfast, but that's about it.
