Very inexpensive sushi boat with a modest menu of cooked items. On our lunch visit, Ed & I were seated at the very long sushi boat bar and selected a couple of rolls to start.

My taco (octopus) nigiri was a little chewy and not as flavorful as one might hope, but the unagi and avocado maki was decent. A trio of mystery chewy fried items wasn't to my liking, however. There wasn't a great deal of variety going by on the boat line, and many were topped with a gooey white affair, which I feared to be mayo (a very unwelcome addition to fish, to my taste!) and we decided to each order a small bento lunch. My katsu-don arrived nicely breaded, but overly dry. The miso soup, salad, california roll, and rice next to it in the lunch box were all edible, but not noteworthy.

Service was a little lackluster, but got the job done. The prices are, I suppose, the draw here, with none of the sushi boat plates exceeding $1.95. Still, I question whether bargain sushi is a good idea in the first place - cheaping out on raw food seems a recipe for problems!

Our lunch came to $22 for two, including 2 1-entree bento boxes and 7 sushi boat plates - not too pricey at all. Although the food wasn't bad, I would want to try some of the other sushi places in this area before coming back.
