- Sublime Greek food, served with style in a lovely environment. The
catch? The price, naturally. Nonetheless, it was a superb dining
experience when a bunch of us went here for Sarah and her mother's
birthday.
We started with heavenly Revithokeftethes (chick pea & feta cakes - $7.95), a good, but not great, Spanakotiropita (filo pies of spinach, feta, leeks & dill - $8.75), some excellent Soutzoukakia (grilled meatballs - $6.75), and a tasty feta plate ($6.95). Of the starters, I definitely preferred the revithokeftethes.
For an entree, I had the Galeos (halibut with spinach, clams, mussels in a saffron broth - $21.95). It was basically perfect - tender, juicy, and flavored exactly the right amount. The bite I had of Molly's Moussaka (eggplant, lamb, potato and yogurt casserole - $19.75) was superb as well. My dessert baklava ($8.00, served with vanilla-praline ice cream and honey) was a fitting end to the evening (along with the glass of Ardbeg single-malt that accompanied it :-).
Service was courteous, helpful, and timely and the decor was understated, but elegant. It was, however, fairly loud on our visit. Highly recommended!
