Very fresh and tasty food in a traditional atmosphere (no, there's nothing remotely "new cuisine" here - it's your basic seafood & starch fare). If there is a wait, complimentary glasses of white wine are served, with another when you're seated - a nice touch.

The normal menu, while decent, is definitely trumped by the tasty (and fresher?) daily special menu. I ordered a grilled baked salmon and scallops ($18). Both arrived perfectly tender; the salmon especially so.

Decor is something of a 70s-throwback - wood, vinyl booths, and a leisurely evening. A quality neighborhood joint that I was pleased to live near for a while. Dinner for two with drinks came to $60 including tax & tip - not bad for quality ocean fare! On more recent visits I've had the petrale with mushrooms (very good) and sea bass (yes, it's a politically-correct sea bass, and excellent). Service is quite knowledgable and many servers have been there for over a decade.
