The Climb to Kaiser

Sunrise in the central valley.

The early morning sun on Watts Valley Rd.

Somewhat hazy view on Watts Valley Rd.

Glenn, climbing Burrough Grade. It was definitely starting to warm up by this point.

Tanya looking suspiciously at me as we climbed the fairly gentle and lovely Burrough Grade.

An old barn in Burrough Valley.

Serene ride through Burrough Valley. The pleasantness was to be short-lived, alas!

I'm pretty sure this church was erected to ward off the evil road of Tollhouse Grade....

A pretty rock point. Hmm, is that a road shooting up the side of the mountain? Why yes, its the Tollhouse Grade!

Hazy mountains in the distance distracted me somewhat from the climb up Tollhouse Grade.

30 miles into the ride and I'm still smiling. Photo taken by Glenn.
