Death Valley Double Century

An excellent paceline I hopped onto out of Badwater and stayed with for the next 20-some-odd miles.

Climbing one of several long rollers into a headwind, just before the Ashford Mills rest stop.

Fighting one last set of gentle rollers (into a headwind, naturally), almost to the Ashford Mills rest stop

A colorful mountain towers thousands of feet above the Ashford Mills rest stop

One of the amusingly-dressed staffers at Ashford Mills cops a feel :)

The ever-colorful mountains around Death Valley

Kristin, cresting Jubilee Pass. She wisely decided to turn around here and do a century, while I foolishly continued onwards.

Woohoo - on top of Jubilee Pass. Although its only about 1300ft high, we did start at about -150, so its a bit more of a climb than it sounds.

Lovely view from the water stop midway up the Salsburry Pass climb. I decided this was a fine place to turn around and head back to Furnace Creek
