Vineyards in Pope Valley
Some folks clowning around at the not-on-the-map Clif-Bar-sponsored rest stop a mile or so into the Ink Grade climb.
Clif Bar-sponsored this rest stop, just one mile into the Ink Grade climb. If it hadn't had shave ice, I'd have skipped it, but it did, so I didn't.
Some folks from the Fremont Freewheelers bike club at rest stop #4
Mt. Veeder (I think) looming over a vineyard
The very last leg of the ride, through the surprisingly-large Yountville Veterans Home complex
Post-ride BBQ
These folks apparently hadn't gotten enough exercise or heat during the ride, and were dancing at the end. Naturally, we concluded that they'd done the easy 30mi route :)
Elevation Profile. Of the three climbs, I thought Mt. Veeder was the steepest, but it wasn't too bad either.
Route map. The lake in the upper right is Lake Berryessa
